InterWorks is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will partner closely with our Go-To-Market and Sales teams to position and sell the best solutions for our clients. If you’re a passionate individual that can help build the best solutions for our customers in many verticals (retail, education, life sciences and health care, telecommunications, entertainment and many others) then we’d love to talk.

We’re looking for someone with sales engineering experience working with analytics or data products who can bring solid technical expertise to the sales process.

What you’ll do

  • Help our clients solve business problems by leveraging InterWorks products, solutions, and partner technologies.
  • Listen to, learn from and help clients understand the value of the solutions we offer and the value they create.
  • Support scoping, requirements gathering and discovery calls with new and existing clients.
  • Create compelling and clear solutions architecture / proposal content for new opportunities.
  • Work hand-in-hand with sales and GTM teams to communicate the technical and commercial value of InterWorks Solutions.
  • Actively research, learn and evaluate new technologies in the data / analytics space alongside the wider Solutions team.
  • Build technical relationships with anchor accounts, identify and develop new opportunities with partners and customers alike.

What you’ll need

  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and a continuous drive to learn about data and analytics technology / vendors
  • Solid understanding of visual analytics and database solutions like Tableau, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, MS SQL, MySQL, and Redshift.
  • Solid understanding of commonly used data orchestration and transformation solutions like Alteryx, Matillion, Fivetran, and Python.
  • Experience working with Sales and GTM teams to sell analytics / data products
  • The ability to discuss, position and explain the value of modern analytics and data architectures
  • Enthusiastic, confident and engaging presentation and storytelling ability

What we’d like you to have

  • A solid understanding of how to evaluate solution architecture using ownership cost, build vs. buy, scalability, etc.
  • Familiarity with the visual analytics and data landscape (market competition, commercial pricing models, technology-driven trends, etc.)
  • Ability to approach challenges in a strategic manner to identify and address root causes
