This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Business Intelligence Consultant you will be responsible for:

Position Summary

Business Intelligence Consultant will join the EDU Innovations Operations team (remotely) and help identify opportunities to integrate analytics into the overall education landscape to facilitate fact-based decision making at both the tactical and strategic levels. The successful candidate for this role will apply their technical skills to automate routine cognitive tasks and solve complex business problems using a wide variety of datasets generated by EDU. You will be expected to explore the vast amounts of data available to you and create data model solutions that will enable advanced analysis. These data models will also be the primary source data for front end applications such as dashboards and automated tools for business users. Although data modeling is a key element in this position, you will have ample opportunity to explore advanced analytics and application development in support of other Operations activities.

Core Qualifications

  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the following:

o Business Administration, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other Data/Business-focused degree

  • 2-3 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Modeler, or similar role
  • Experience creating dashboards with Microsoft Power BI
  • Deep understanding and experience in Microsoft Excel including complex formula creation, pivot analysis, and advanced functions
  • Demonstrated data manipulation experience through software tools or programming
  • Skilled in the analysis of large amounts of disparate data
  • Capable of taking initiative and ownership of tasks
  • Willingness to learn new technology and analytical methods
  • Ability to translate business needs into data models that support long-term solutions
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Organization and time-management skills to be able to contribute to several projects simultaneously

In Addition to the Core Qualifications, Highly Qualified Candidates will have the Following:

  • Experience in writing and understanding xAPI statements
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques as applicable to predictive analytics
  • Ability to examine/explore data from multiple disparate sources and document data flows, entity relationships, data attributes, etc.
